Image Cropper FAQ
Image Cropper answers on usage and privacy.
How do I crop an image online?
Upload the image, pick a ratio, choose a position in the nine-grid anchor, then download the result. Image Cropper lets you drag the frame or type exact pixel values.
Which ratios are supported?
1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9 and 9:16 — the five ratios you need for avatars, albums, landscape covers and vertical video. Image Cropper can lock the aspect ratio so the crop stays in proportion.
How do I choose which part to keep?
Use the nine-grid anchor: top-left, centre, bottom-right and the six points in between. The crop box aligns to that anchor. Image Cropper keeps the original file and returns a cropped copy.
Can I drag a free crop box?
Yes. Choose the Free ratio and drag any of the eight handles — width and height resize independently, so you can crop any shape you like. With a fixed ratio (1:1, 16:9 and so on) the handles keep that ratio. Drag inside the box to move it, or use the 3x3 anchor grid to jump it to a corner or edge. Image Cropper handles JPG, PNG and WebP files.
Does cropping reduce quality?
No. The crop uses original pixels with no upscaling or recompression. Check the pixel readout in Image Cropper before you export.
Is there batch cropping?
One image at a time for now. Local processing is fast, so working through a set is quick — 3 credits per export. The Image Cropper output downloads straight to your device.
Are there size limits?
Up to 10MB and 8000px per side, with an immediate warning if you exceed either.
Crop or resize?
Crop removes part of the frame and keeps a region; resize scales the whole image to new pixel dimensions.
