Image Resizer FAQ

Image Resizer answers on usage and privacy.

How do I resize an image online?

Upload the image, type the target width or height, let the other value auto-calculate, then generate and download. Image Resizer takes exact pixel values or a percentage.

What does locking the ratio do?

It keeps the width-to-height ratio fixed so the image is never distorted. Turn it off for a non-proportional resize. Image Resizer can lock the aspect ratio so nothing gets stretched.

Will enlarging make it blurry?

Some detail is lost — that is true of all interpolation. For real detail recovery use the AI image upscaler. Image Resizer keeps the original file and returns a resized copy.

Does resizing change the format?

No. The output keeps the original format (JPG stays JPG, PNG stays PNG) and only the resolution changes. Image Resizer handles JPG, PNG and WebP files.

Is there batch resizing?

One image per pass for now. Local processing is fast, so working through a list is quick — 3 credits per export. Check the new dimensions in Image Resizer before you export.

Are there size limits?

Up to 8000px per side and 10MB per file. The page tells you right away if you exceed either. The Image Resizer output downloads straight to your device.

Resize or crop?

Resize scales the whole image and keeps all content; crop cuts out a region. Use crop to change the ratio and resize to change the resolution.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. The page is responsive, so upload, sizing and download all happen on one screen.
